    Got relected in 1948 and was given the responsibility of the upcoming war. Gave the official order to send troops to support democratic South Korea. He was also the one to order the retreat back to the 38th parallel.

    This started when the North Korean army crossed the 38th parallel during the Cold War. When notified American troops rushed in to help South Korea to prevent the consumption of communism.     Brown v BOE
    A local black family sued the Board of Education for the allowing of the black daughter in a segregated "all white" school. They felt it was not fair there kid didn't get the same quality education as the kids in the white school. With the Supreme court integrating the school this overturned the "separate but equal" decision in the Plessy v Ferguson court case.

    Fidel Castro led a revolt against the Cuban government. After successfully taking over Cuba, the United States attempted an assassination of Fidel using the CIA in order to bring down communism.     The Soviet Union wanted the retreat of all democratic armed forces patrolling West Berlin. President Kennedy refused to give West Berlin to the Soviet Union.     During the Vietnam War, as part of the strategic bombing campaign known as Operation Rolling Thunder, U.S. military aircraft attacked targets throughout North Vietnam from March 1965 to October 1968. ||
    "Give Peace a Chance" - Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, this song was part of a movement against war. At the time the US was in the Vietnam War, which the younger generations were against.

    The Voting Rights Acts was signed to by Lyndon B. Johnson. It got rid of the South's literacy test. Its also outlawed discriminatory voting. || At the time, racism in the south was very much prominent, with a lot of crimes that never got their justice.
