    Aboriginals
    The Aboriginals always used every bit of the animal they caught. They also moved when the resources where running low so that they could grow and replenish again. All the aboriginal people had a role to play even the children had a role to play. The Aboriginals were mainly naked but some did where clothes. The people that didn't wear clothes would crush up rocks and use water to paint there bodies. At night they would have bonfires to get rid of the evil spirits by doing tribal dances.
  • People on the First Fleet who had working experience

    Some of the people o the First Fleet that had been forced to stole to live. 11% of men had been farmer labours on the First Fleet. There were two gardeners, two fishermen, ten cobblers, six carpenters, fourteen weavers, two bricklayers, two jewellers, two bakers and a scattering of other trades that they had when they were with America. When the war happened between America and England all the jobs were useless and that is when they were forced to steal to live in England.
  • Why the British decided to colonise Australia in the first place.

    The British decided to colonise Australia because England over in that time had a lot of poverty, they had way too many convicts, Australia had nice clean air to live in, a lot more jobs here, Britain could trade with Asia, they needed a new place to send convicts, Britian got a lot of bad diseases in that time, in Britain they were low on work so nobody was getting paid and that is why they had to steal even if it was a tiny petty crime they were still sent to jail.
  • Contact between Aboriginals and British people (Part 1)

    One of the main people that didn't like the British taking over there land was a leader called Pemulwuy. Pemulwuy often stole from the Britishes farms and set them on fire. Pemulwuy speared a hunter that was working for Arthur Phillip Another Aboriginal that played a big part in the first contact between the Aboriginals and the British was Bennelong. Bennelong was one of the few people that Arthur Phillip kidnapped to teach them their language so that he knew what the Aboriginals were saying.

    Bennelong would also dress up in the British clothes. Captain Arthur Phillip kidnapped somebody before Bennelong called Arabanoo, but as soon as Arabanoo died he kidnapped Bennelong and another Aboriginal called Colebee

    When the British colonised parts of Australia

    The first place the British colonised in Australia was the right side of Australia in 1788. The second one that they colonised was Western Australia in 1825. The next part of Australia that they colonised was South Australia in 1836. The one that they colonised after 1836 was Victoria and Tasmania in 1859. In 1911 and after 1911 they colonised Queensland and the Northern Territories. After that they made smaller colonies on nearby islands.

    The free settlers also weren't given enough food to eat so they did struggle. Also if the free settlers did not of come down to Australia they would of struggled to survive and they wouldn't be able to colonise parts of Australia.

    The Free settlers where encouraged to come by Arthur Phillip and soldiers to come to Australia. If they came the boat trip would be free and they would get a working convict to be there slave. They would also be given grants of land to work on at first. Some of the difficulties of them working in Australia was that some of the convicts were old or had something wrong with them and they wouldn't be able to work as well as others.

    When the British colony came they started a lot of pollution in the air because they had to have factories to open fro the convicts to work in, because all of that was happening that meant the air was coming filthier and they were also cutting down a lot of trees. That made the Aboriginals very angry because they had been looking after those trees for ages and now a lot of them were getting cut down..

    When the Gold Rush happened in Victoria more people started to come to Australia and that is when Australia's population started to grow bigger. When people from different nations heard about the gold rush they decided to come to Melbourne.This particular event helped the British with population
