    First generation of computers. The first generation of computers covers from 1940 to 1952, although these dates are really commercial machines since the first computer considered is the Zuse Z1 of 1938.

    Summary

    The second generation computers were used for new applications,such as airline reservation systems, air traffic control and general purpose simulations. Companies began to apply computers to record storage tasks. The charasteristyic of the second generation are following:
    -They are built with transistor circuits.
    -They are programmded in new languages,called high level.
