    The Middle passage was the term used by Slave ship Captains to refer to the voyage from the west coast of Africa to North America via the West Indies. The ships hold had decks that where just 22 inches high in which African Negro captives where placed in for the voyage.

  • Stono Rebellion

    Stono Rebellion
    Took place in SC, Approx 20 black slaves led by Jemmy, robbed a general store for guns, and ammunition. About 20 miles from Charlestown,SC. During rebellion 60 where killed 1/3 white colonists, and 1/3 of the slaves escaped. Earliest uprising against slavery in North America.

    Last Imperial war between the British and French. Started in Western PA, along the frontier in North America. George Washington firing on French soldiers. Lasting almost 10 years, crossed over the Atlantic to England & France. French aligned with natives from the start which gave them the advantage from the start.     The Boston Massacre
    Place Boston outside of custom house on King St.(now State St.) Started over insults between British soldier and colonist. Grew to a mob with 8 British soldiers who continued to be taunted, and attacked by rocks, and snowballs from the mob. Ending with soldiers firing into crowd with orders. Turning point battle of Saratoga with France joining America as allies. Southern campaigns had slaves fighting with British for freedom. Ends in Yorktown,VA with America being victorious.P.     Final battle of the Northwest Indian war. Native American Indians are fighting for land they believe is theirs, but this land hand been given to America during the treaty of Paris 1783. Want a war with Britain because they had taken American merchant ships and sailors into their navy to defend a blockade against France, and had remained allies with the Northwest Indians who where raiding frontier settlements stopping expansion.
