Soldiers showed up to protect the fortress, they instead fired canons into the fortress. -
The King arrives in Varennes.
He is recognized in his plain clothing and it forcibly taken back to Paris. -

Nobles, clergymen and commoners all meet together and come to an agreement that everyone will pay their fair share of taxes. -
New constitution for France is adopted by National Assembly
The King would remain in power, but he would not make the laws. -
Louis XVI attempts to flee.
He is dressed in plain clothing leaving the palace in a coach. -
The king is found guilty of all crimes and sentenced to death.
This is the beginning of many other problems. Maximilien Robespierre, and George Danton were filling the jails with citiziens for the littliest reasons. Hospitals are even turned into jails due to the amount of people in jail. -
Robespierre attempts to escape and is executed
The terror comes to and end with the death of Robespierre. -
Napoleon takes over as the leader of the French army in Italy.
He puts and end to the revolution. -
Napoleon becomes the dictator
He wrote the Napleonic Code which gave freedom to the people who fought in the revolution. That became one of his most important accomplishments.
