In this battle, the French troops who fought against them were badly wounded, many of them got killed and prisoned. Washington's troops retreat to Great Meadows and build Fort Necessity.

The fighting took place on a plateau called Abraham Martin dit L 'ecossais, just outside the walls of Quebec city. The battle lasted 30 minutes, but ended three months of siege and changed Canada's future development.

    The treaty of Paris was signed on 10 February 1763 by the kingdoms of Great Britain, France and Spain, with Portugal in agreement.The treaty marks the end of seven years of war.
