In 1972 Forrest meets President Nixon to be honored for his ping-pong skills.During the scene Nixon ask where Forrest is staying during his visit, forrest tells him but he immediately tells forrets that he can stay at Watergate. During his stay at Watergate he calls up the front desk complaining about flashlight keeping him awake in another room. This turns out to be the Watergate burglaries and the next scene shows Nixon resigning. -
