  • Television

    Television
The televisions back then were neither flat screen nor as wide as the televisions nowadays. It was way thicker than today's and only has limited channels but you can place a VHS in it. Compare to the televisions before, TV now a days can do a lot of stuff and can play more channels than before.
When I was a kid, I often watch Cartoons in various channels only that it is not as high definition as it is today. I always hide the remote so that they won't change the channel.
  • Flashcards and Charts

    Flashcards and Charts
As far as I can remember, flashcards and charts back then were still the same as it is today. It still has the same features and only differ in its content. Only that these days, kids are not so fond of using any of those anymore because it is not as interesting as Youtube or any other social networking sites. But as a kid back then, we were too eager to learn through the use of flashcards and charts, we often teach one another and play-pretend that we, ourselves are teachers.
  • Books

    Books
The books then and now have not change that much, maybe just in quality. The first book that I have been introduced to was ABAKADA, I think. I was taught to read with the help of that book and it has helped not only me but also most of the kids at a younger age. I had fun reading when I was with my friends, we played -pretend that we are teacher and taught one another how to read with the help of books. It was great that we had fun and learned at the same time.
  • Newspaper

    Newspaper
As far as I can remember, my first exposure to newspaper was when we had a vacation in Manila, since we rarely had those kind of things in the province. I don't care about it that much because as a kid, I do not have any interest of it at all. That time I still don't have any sense of understanding about the articles written in that newspaper, I am too naive to even care about it. I just saw it and that's it.
  • Magazine

    Magazine
The magazine that I first saw was an Avon Brochure. It was my mother who introduced it to me because she was asking me to choose a dress for the upcoming Christmas Party. I had fun looking at it because it contains visuals of various kinds of clothes, bags, shoes, colognes, powder, etc. I even had an experience wherein I rub my thumb on the picture of a cologne then smell it afterwards and got amazed because it indeed smells like it. There are too many kinds of magazines too mention.
  • Mobile Phones

    Mobile Phones
The first mobile phone I used was a Nokia 3210, it was my mother's phone given by my grandfather. I still remember some of its features, it's a little bit heavy, it can neither record nor take pictures, no memory card slots, no bluetooth etc. It was way different from the phones we are using now a days. it can only be use as a means of communication and it only has few games which I don't remember except Snake, of course. I am not that fond of using it because I prefer TV back then.
  • Gadgets

    Gadgets
The firs gadget that I used was a mobile phone, followed by smart phones, personal computer, tablet, PSP and the likes. The smart phone that I first used was my mother's and the other gadgets are from my relatives. Smart phones is way different from mobile phones in a way that it surpasses every specs that a mobile phone has. The gadgets that I have been introduce to were more convenient to use and are all great in every ways, be it in communication, entertainment, information and the likes.
  • Social Networking Sites

    Social Networking Sites
I was first introduced to social networking sites when I transfer from a rural to urban place. Social media as we all know, is a mean of communication and is made for entertainment and for gathering information for various needs. It was a great help back then because browsing through the web made my school days easier for I don't have to read a book just to finish my assignments. It also helps me in a way wherein I can easily communicate with my relatives from afar.
