Montag meets Clarisse
Montag is walking down the street and approches Clarrise, who happens to be his new neighbor. He walks with her to her house and while they are walking, they give eachother a brief decription of themselves. Clarisse then leaves Montag with a question asking him if he is happy. -
Montag's wife Mildred gets sick
When Montag arrives back to his home, he steps on a sleeping pill bottle and realizes that his wife had taken many sleeping pills. He calls the ambulence and he notices that they are not so professional. -
Clarisse gets hit by a car
While Montag was speaking to his wife, he mentions that he had not seen her for four days. His wife, Mildred, then mentions that Clarisse's family had moved away four days ago and that Clarisse had gotten hit by a car and died. -
Montag becomes curious about books
Montag demonstrates a secret stock he had hidden full of books, in the ventilator to his wife, Mildred. She freaks out and trys to burn them but he insisted her not too. He wants to search in the book for the reason of his unhappiness and he wants to help to find something valuable in the books that can help them and others. Somone knocks on the door but he chooses to ignore it and he picks up a book and begins reading. -
Montag steals a book
Montag had gone with the firemen to burn a lady's house because she had books. While he was in there, he located a book and decided to take it. He took it to his home and hid it under his pillow. The next day he claimed to be sick and showed his wife the book. -
Mildred turns Montag in
Mildred decides to pull the alarm and turn Montag into the firemen because he had refused to return the books. Both the firemen and Montag race to the house. Montag refuses to give the books up because he needs them for answers. -
Montag has to go into hiding from the Government
Montag had escaped from the firemen through the back alleys limping due to the injury he got. He is now a threat to the firemen. Now that he has ran away, the government is in lookout for him. While he is on the run he notices fire bombs going on. -
Montag tries to escape from the firemen
When the firemen came to Montag's house to burn the books, he had been keeping, he tries to gather them and run away. Montag gets surrounded by them and gets first arrested by Beatty. While he was cuffed by Beatty, he was telling Montag something from Shakespeare. Montag still had the flame thrower in his hands and was dared to throw it, by Beatty. Montag then fired the flame thrower at Beatty and killed him. -
Montag's new life
Now that he is on his own and trying to find a soultion, he ends up finding a troop of survivors. They are a group that are dedicated to memorzing and reciting books. He hopes to become like them by remembring some of the Biblical works he had read.
