    ASW informed they will be permanently closing the plant in Ohio effective June 30th

  • New wire source confirmed (ISW)

    ISW was selected as the new wire source for Skalica´s part number F612978050171

  • PO placed for RM samples (ISW)

    Purchase order 3629990 for two material samples (RM033C-138-35P & RM033C-276-35P ) to ISW.

  • Schaeffler notified AS the re-sourcing of the part # F612978050171

    Schaeffler notified Rebecca they were re-sourcing this part to another supplier.
    Currently ASBG Mexico supplies Schaeffler Skalica the part number 089059174-0000 F-612978.05-0171.TRFED.RSEMB since 2017

  • Stock levels confirmed

    ASM confirmed current FG stock and RM in transit from the new wire souce ISW back to Rebecca Liedel.

  • RM samples canceled

    RM samples canceled to ISW after receiving Schaeffler confirmation of resourcing the part number to a different supplier.

  • Schaeffler confirms the business continue with us.

    Actualy the information about end of the commercial item F612978050171 isn’t valid more. Our business continues on standard way. This information should come earlier, I’m sorry. But we got that information end of last week only.

  • Rebecca confirmed Schaeffler of a possible commercial impact and the lead time for the new wire source.

    Rebbeca: if a new raw material supplier is needed to improved lead time, there is a commercial impact to the change. We are already aware of a raw material price increase with the new source if you should select that option.,If that option is what you prefer, we will develop a quote and allow you to review. Otherwise, the current RM supplier is currently 16 weeks, so our lead time for finished product is 18-20 weeks after receipt of order.

  • Rebecca replied back to Schaeffler with our current position on 11/30

  • Schaeffler involved Sean Foran.

    Schaeffler did not agree with any price increase and requested the support of S Foran.

  • Special release sent for approving SG Mx as the new wire source.

    Schaeffler requested us to send an special release in Schaeffler template for approving SG as the new wire source.

  • SG Mx was approved and order was placed with them.

    Schaeffler approved the new wire source SG and PO was placed requesting the MOQ of 5,400 kg.

  • Skalica Demand

    Please can you give me info when will be parts prepare to send to ILS? We need parts in ILS:

    2.2.2021 – 2.000pcs

    8.2.2021 – 3.000pcs

    20.2.2021 – 4.000pcs

    8.3.2021 – 3.500pcs

  • SG confirmed the material will be ready in 10 weeks. it wasn´t accepted by the customer

    SG lead time will shutdown Schaeffler, requesting to improve the lead time. Kristin was involved for pushing the supplier for improving.

  • SG confirmed they can have material on 1/22/2020.

    SG requested to reduce one existing order for giving them space for producing it in January. (we accepted)

  • ASM confirmed the RM will arrive at the end of January (Shaeffler requested to expedite the material at our cost)

    Schaeffler requested to confirm the Air freight of the material. as they will be line down on 2/02/21 (2,000 pcs min)
    next shipment needs to arrive before 2/08/21 (3,000)

  • Rebecca confirmed we will not absorb de expedite + a price increase on Q2

    Expedited raw material will arrive to AS Mexico Friday, 1/22. AS Mexico plans to run 10k pieces to fulfill all open February requirements and will have those available by Friday 1/29 for expedite. At this time we maintain the position that we can not agree to absorb the cost of the outbound expedite. There remains an open commercial issue that we must resolve; the price increase related to the significant drop in volume, as well as the increase in raw material cost.
