    Zheng takes his first Voyage

    the Zheng He expoloration was one of the largest expaditions. COnstisting of 300 ships and 27,000 people the Zheng He's voyage covered many ports in south Asia and Africa bringing pride and respect to Zheng and his people.

    Prince Henry founds first navagation school

    Prince henry founded the navigation school on the southwestern coast of portugal where mapmakers, instrument makers, shipbuilders, scientists, and sea captains flocked to perfect their trade.

    Ming China adopts isolation policy following Zheng He's seventh voyage

    After arguments that the voyages were waisting time and money that could be spent protecting the northern border frim barbarians the voyages were cancled this led to the isolation. The isolations were inforced to keep outside influences out of the country only leaving 3 ports open for trade. This isolation had a ripple affect on the economy making it very poor and weak.

    Christopher Colombus lands in Hispaniola

    Christopher Colombus lands in Hispaniola
    In 1492 Christopher Columbus convinced spain to finance a exploraton to find a route to Asian by sailing across the Atlantic. By october of that year he reached an island in the Caribbean and mistook it for the west Indies. This was the way the conlinization of America was storted.

    Spain and Portugal sign the Treaty of Tordesillas

    While the Spain and POrtugal conflict grew and threats started to spew about the newly found land Pope Alexander VI stepped between the conflicting countries. He created the Treaty of Tordesillas which seperated the new land equally between the two nations. The right belinging to Spain and left to Portugal.

    Vasco de Gama reaches India

    Vasco de Gama a Portegese explorer had been exploring the tip and southwest coast of africa when he hit a storm that the fleet around the tip of Africa into the Indian Ocean. In 1498 they reached India and were amazed with the variety of spices such as cinnamon and pepper. In 1499 they returned with 60 times the cost of the voyage it's self.
  • Tokugawa Ievasu becomes shogun of Japan

    When Toyotomi Hideyoshi died in 1598 and his troops with drew from Korea one of his strongest allies Tokugawa had just completed the unification of Japan and defeted his largest rivals he gained loyalty of Japan and then three years later had become the sole ruler of japan making him shogun.
  • Manchus establish Qing Dynasty in China

    After the 200 year rule of the Ming Dynasty it hd began to weaken and grow problems. This is when the Manchus from the Northeast had invaded and seized Beijing, thier leader became the new emporer. This dynasty would take the name Qing Dynasty and rule for more that 260 years while expanding China;s borders to Taiwan, Chinese Central Asia, Mongolia, and Tibet.
