Evolution of Web Tools

  • Web 1.0

    Web 1.0 was first implementation of the web and
    it lasted from 1989 to 2005. The characteristics included HTTP, HTML, and URI. It was read only content and had limitations. The web master was the only one responsible for updating users and managing the content of the website.
  • Web 2.0

    Web 2.0 was considered the read and write web. This stage or generation was also known as the “The Social web” as now the users were not only able to read the websites but they could also interact and connect with other users
  • Web 3.0

    The Semantic Web
    Web 3.0 was first described in 2006 as a generation of web which defines organized or structured data to simplify automation, integration and discovery across multiple applications. This implies that Web 3.0 is not only a read and write web but also a web which focuses on the individual users and machines.
  • Web 4.0

    remain between the years 2020 and 2030 and it can reach up to the level of human intelligence and human brain
  • Web 5.0

    Web 5.0 or “the telepathic web” will come after the year 2030 and in this highly advanced and complex web generation, things such as brain implants will be highly popular.
