    Education wasn't always on line, but it was always needed. Education started in the home and moved to be taught in schools. As colleges and universities needed to make education available to more people they offered classes thru the mail. These classes were called correspondence course.

    The Internet and the World Wide Web has changed every aspect of the world with new communications and world wide access to information. Distance learning has become popular, but Congress intervened and discontinued federal aid to schools of higher learning until Congress realized the popularity and demand for distance learning. Their intervention was rescinded.
