    Napoleon crowns himself the Emperor of France, along with Josephine who becomes the Empress. He was supposed to be crowned by Pope Pius VII, and it happens at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

    Napoleon sends a French Army into Spain, while the Franco-Spanish army is fighting in Portugal. The Spanish try and revolt unsuccessfully, and then Napoleon names Joseph Bonaparte as king pf Spain, and puts Murat as king of Naples.

    Napoleon understands that Josephine will not be able to give him an heir, and divorces her. However, they remain friends and he keeps her as Empress of France.

    Russian Capmaign

    The Russian campaign begins, Napoleons Grand Army enters into Moscow to find the city has been abandoned and that the Russians have implemented the Scorched Earth Policy, where they burned everything down. The army suffers devistating losses. With the harsh winters coming, the army is forced to retreat, and Napoleon returns to France.
  • Battle of Liepzig

    France loses in the Battle of Liepzig against Russia, Prussia, Sweden and Austira.
  • Abdication of the throne

    Napoleon is forced to abdicate the throne, at first trying to do it with teh replacement of his son, but he is forced to do so indefinitely and the empire is ended, with Louis XVIII to replace him on the throne.
  • Exile

    Napoleon is exiled to Elba, where they allow him to keep his title of Emperor over the island. Napoleon develops an army. His family take refuge in Vienna.

    Napoleon escapes from Elba, to return to France, and rallies the French Army.

    King Louis XVIII flees and Napoleon takes the throne, starting the 100 Days Campaign.

    Napoleon is defeated in the Battle of Waterloo by Britain and the Prussian.

    Napoleon abdicated the throne for the second time, and is exiled to Saint Helena.
