    Ernest Nagel was born in Bohemina, known in the present day as Austria-Hungray empire. His parents were Frida Wess and Walter Nagel. Ernest was born on November 16th, 1901. He left to the United States of America and became a U.S citizen in the year of 1919. He migrated to the United States at the ripe age of 10 years old.

    During his adult life Ernest Nagel was a teacher within the New York Public Education School System. He then went on to attend the College of New York City for his undergraduate degree. He obtained his PhD from Columbia University. (1923-1967)

    In collaboration with his mentor, Morris Cohen, Ernest Nagel produced a textbook. The textbook is called An Introduction to Logic and Scientific Method. This book became widely famous and was one of the first successful books about the Scientific Method.
