Initiative vs. Guilt
Ella and her family go bowling, Ella would typically use the bowling ball ramp to launch the ball down the aisle. In the 3rd stage of Erikson's initiative vs. guilt, whether Ella decides to try and roll the ball down the aisle herself this is shows initiative. -
Industry vs. Inferiority
Ella enters her project in her school science fair. She decided to demonstrate the stages of life of a butterfly. Ella wins first place and gets awarded with a blue ribbon. In Erikson's 4th stage, industry vs. inferiority, sense Ella received first place for her hard work she feels a sense of accomplishment and she begins to feel industrious. -
Identity vs. Role Confusion
Ella is a part of her high school volleyball team her freshman year. During her sophomore year she quits the volletball team to find out she likes to be a part of the team by managing a lot better. Erickson's 5th stage identity vs. roles confusion, by finding out that Ella doesn't like the competitive spirit, but rather the encouraging aspect of the volleyball team she is figuring out her identity.
