We can use them with a noun (as a determiner) or without a noun (as a pronoun).The main difference between these words is that we can use much with uncountable nouns, many with plural countable nouns, and a lot with both types of nouns.

  • Adverbs of Manner

    Adverbs of manner tell us how something happens. They are usually placed either after the main verb or after the object.

    In this unit we learn more of the vocabulary about physical and mental health:cold, sunburn, mosquito bites, aspirin, sunscreen, insect repellent, backache, headache.
  • Should: Affirmative, negative and questions.

    Should is an auxiliary verb - a modal auxiliary verb. We use should mostly to give advice, talk about obligation, talk about expectation.
    Affirmative form:I should go home now.
    Negative form: There shouldn’t be many people at the beach today.
    Question form:
    Should I turn on the air conditioning?
    Shouldn’t you be studying now?
