the last king of Elwyan, Cantios had ambitions of expanding the borders of Elwyan and elevating the kingdom to an emperial status. his celebration of success was short lived when an strayed Feayan spy found her way into the Palace and assasinated Cantion early in the morning. a nation mourned. and at his funeral the highpriests crowned him Grandking, saying he executed the will of the Watchers. the only grandking to ever excist in both Elwyan and the Empire. -

Prince of Elwyan, Galen Atcarus, Fought in the Expansion Wars at his close friend Selah Ismena's side, at the border between Elwyan and Oshmanan. seeing the war first hand changed him and he left his naïvity with his prince title, grown more than enough to fill the crown of emperor. -

his death at the hand of assasins meant the end of short lived peace. -

enraged by the early death of his father, , Galias, 2nd child of Ariyantook the armies of the empire to wage war against the human kindoms. -

Empress Otrera the Blessed
Crowned after her father died in battle Otrera promised an age of peace. the people say her will to do this granted her the favor of the Watchers, and few years after her crowning she achieved peace across all the borders of the empire. another reason why people call her the blessed is for she lived the longest out of all Atcarus (114 years) -

Empress Epphelya the Cursed
Epphelya's life was filled with tragedy, she and her first husband seperated after she lost their unborn child. she eventually stepped down from the crown after 6 years when her health started to withdrawl in an ungodly spead. she died 2 years later. -

Emperor Damaris the Bloody
his crowning was followed by national uproar, conspirancies claimed that he was responsible for his mothers health issues, and after her death people grew even more against Emperor Damaris.
fending of many assasination attempts and imprisoning even more conspirarists, his reign had been dupedd as one of the most bloodiest outside of war time.
his reign ended when an assasin finally succeeded by cutting his throat during his sleep. -

Emperor Kairos
Crowned at age 20 after the assasination on his father, while rumours spread that he wasthe mastermind or even the executor of the assasination no one ever really questioned the emperor about this, silently thanking him for it. stepped down shortly after his husbands death claiming not to be mentally ft to lead a nation. -

Emperor Agamedys
years of tension between the elven empire and the Nidus came to its boiling point during Agamedys' rule. war raged but Agamedys managed to broker peace before the new century and stepped down as emperor, tired of the throne. -

Empress Hypathea the Mother
Young and hopefull Hypathea worked towards repairing the damage done during the Cornares War. her reign sadly was shortlived, as she passed away giving birth to a son. -

Emperor Agamedys (return)
the early death of Empress Hypathea left the Empire without leader and Agamedys had to return until his grandson was old enough to be crowned. in this period he carried out the plans his daughter had for the empire and taught the young prince everything he should know. -

Emperor Cenon
Youngest emperor to be crowned at age 16, only one year younger than his ancestor Otrera the blessed, Cenon felt presurred to become something great. guided by his aunts, uncle and grandfather. Cenon managed to calm down the tension between the several human kingdoms and the empire with help from the Mage collective. though some form of tension still remained war grew more unlikely -

Empress Acantha the Crow
Empress Acantha was a strong woman, who didnt trust the humand kingdoms to keep their end of the bargains. she'd send out spies to them. only one kingdom really and it ended up in the Unfought War where they jsut waited untill the other would act. she stepped down before the new century like Agamedys before her. for her eldest son to take over. -

Emperor Avernus the Lost
Avernus took his grandfathers work and continued with it, working with human kingdoms on clearer borders and universal laws to encourage more trade between the elven and humans. though many traditional elves opposed this other elves in the lands accros the seas celebrated this. but tragedy struck when Avernus's young son Timotheos died aged six, the emperor mourning his son started to struggle with heartbreak untill he 4 years later took his own life. -
Period: 415 to 438
Emperor Tiberus
after the suicide of emperor Avernus, his brother Tibernus took over. ignoring the rumour that he was the one giving Avernus the final push so he could be the Emperor Tibernus ruled more strict. raising taxes and enforcing laws, and some say he was even planning on waging a new war with the avitqus. -

Empress Oriana the Wanderer
young princess Oriana fled the palace after hearing rumours from the maids about her fathers policys. deciding that if she where to rule she had to personally see her empire, knowing some emperors never say certain parts. she traveled on the Mercurius Home with Captain Cecilia Carter and helped take down both the anti-elf mage Emeline Atwood and the Old Order's armies.
returning home her father stepped down for unknown reasons, making her the new empress
