    -These factories were in terrible conditions; polluted, overcrowded, long hours of work.
    -The steam engine was invented and that powered a lot of the factory machines.

    -This phase was all about finding new territory to expand industrialization.
    -At first electricity was made by burning coal and soon the people invented hydroelectricity.
    -This form of electricity powered factories instead of the steam machines.

    -French didn't want to fight because they didn't think it was their war to fight.

    -People are poor and dying.
    -Ends when WW2 starts because the building of ammunition and such helps the economy.
