Vincent cuts off his left ear lobe. Most people believe that he gave it to his beloved Rachel. He sent it to her in an envelope and told her to guard it. Few people belive that he kept hearing voices and decided to cut it off. Doctors tried to stitch it back on but Van Gogh would not let them. -
