    Thomas Paine created common sense which helped because it rallied the colonists to support the break from Britain.

    The Declaration was created with alliances with the King, the colonists, and the world.

  • Battle of Trenton

    The Americans took a huge victory here. It occured on the day after Christmas when Washington led his army across the Delaware river.

  • Battle of Saratoga

    The battle was a major turning point for the American Revolution. It gave patriots a major morale boost.

  • Washington's encampment at Valley Forge

    Washington led his troops to Valley Forge to reboot and to train his army. The time was hard with disease killing 2000 men in a 6-month period.

  • Paoli Massacre (Battle of Paoli)

    This was a small victorious battle that occured at midnight of September 20 when Major General Charles Grey led the americans to sneak attack General Anthony Wayne's encampment.
