    Dennett published yet another book. This one was called “Freedom Evolves.” This book was best known for its concepts of free will in a “deterministic world.” He talks about how animals like ourselves have evolved to have free will and morality.

    Throughout his career Dennett has received tons of awards for his work in the mind, evolutionary biology, and cognitive science. In 2004 he received the Humanist of the year award from the American Humanist Association
  • Distinguished Achiever

    2010 His name was listed in the Honorary board of distinguished achievers by the Freedom from Religion Foundation. His book “Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon” provided dozens of explanations for religious thought. He was even dubbed one of the “Four Horsemen of New Atheism” along with Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and Christopher Hitchens
  • New Co-Director in town

    In 2017 Dennett became the co-director of the Center for Cognitive Studies. Located at Tufts University this research unit is the home of many research programs for students who are pursuing degrees in cognitive studies.
