John Hawkins commands the first English Slave trading expedition.
John Hawkins set up the Triangle slave trade. He violently captured over 300 Africans and sold them for sugar, hides, and pearls. He paved the way for the triangle slave trade between England, Africa, and the New world. -

The Slave trade Act of 1807 was a very important event. It ended the slave trade but not slavery. Britain was no longer taking slaves from Africa and selling them to the new world. Unfortunately, slavery still continued in America. -
