They solved this problem once Khrushchev agreed to remove Russian missiles from Cuba in exchange for a promise from the U.S to respect Cuba's Sovereignty. -

Revolt in Czechoslovakia
The reason the revolt started was when Alexander Dubček was elected and he spread his ideas of open elections and freedom and the fact that the Warsaw Pact was bad, the Soviets didn't like that he was trying to change their way of communism so they invaded Czechoslovakia which lead to peaceful protest in the streets and the death of Alexander Dubček.
