The Cuban missile crisis was during when president JFK in 1962 when the Soviet Union was putting missiles into Cuba since we had missiles over in turkey just in case they invaded any country that wasn't communist. So then they wanted to put the missiles in Cuba just in case we try to invade Cuba for being communist.
