    The Countries that were in this were Us, England, France, Russia, and China. It is a peacekeeping organization. This was in 1945. They were located in New York City. They helped provide jobs. They also improved education and economic and social council. The impact for society was they helped improve society by fixing a lot of problems in the us. This is important because they helped with solve dispute and disease.
  • Jackie Robinson

    Jackie Robinson
    He was the first African American to play in the MLB with White Americans. He hit over 300 every season which is really good. He was recruited by Branch Rickey. Jackie Robinson was important because he was the first African American in MLB. He impacted society because his number has also been retired in every ballpark, except on April 15th every player wears that number. He had very thick skin because people gave him threats and he had to stay focused and play the game.

    Truman was concerned because communism was growing. So he came up with the idea of the Truman Doctrine. He gave 400 million in military aid to Greece and Turkey to stop communism from spreading. This happened in March 1947. The Marshall plan was set up by George Marshall. This plan was to give 12 billion in rebuild western Europe from WWE in April 1948. They impacted the economy because it helped rebuild things. This is important because it helped keep the USA safe.

All the people he said were communist were not, people believed him even though he could never support a claim about them. After it was over he was fired and accused his workers of being communists.

    King of Rock and Roll in 1956-1973. He lived in Memphis Tennessee. Everyone looked up to him because of how popular tv got him. He was drafted into the army in 1953. He impacted society because he was one of the greatest singers of all time. When he got back from the army he still tried singing again but was not as popular. He died in 1977 by a drug overdose. This is important because he was one of the greatest pop singers in history.

    The Kent State massacre on my 4th 1970. The students protested after Nixon's pledge to send troops to Cambodia. The violence led police to stab and clubbing students. They fired 61 bullets into the crowd and 4 were killed and 9 wounded. The judge found 25 students and a professor were guilty. National guards were nonguilty for anything. This was important because a lot of people died for protesting.

    He was president between 1974-1976 in the White House. He was a republican. He was a congressman for 25 years. He impacted politics because he pardoned Nixon for trying to cheat and was caught cheating. He did important things like trade with the soviet union. He also did cool things like being in the Warren JFK death which is pretty neat. He had 2 assassination attempts and was once a model.

    He was president between 1980-1988 in the White House. He was Republican and before being president he was vice president. He put the first women in the supreme court. He had a failed assassination report. He impacted society by cutting taxes. He also impacted society by the Iran affair. He helped prevent nuclear weapons. He also loved jelly beans a lot and had them everywhere in the white house. He was an actor in over 50 females.

    The Persian Gulf War was in 1991. In this war, we sent troops to Kuwait because they had a lot of oil and were our main oil trader. George H.W Bush was president at the time this happened. 28 other countries joined in the air attack. It lasted for 6 weeks. It was important because it was the first time we invaded iraq. It impacted the economy because it cost a lot of money.

    The Barack Obama Inauguration was on January 20, 2009. This impacted Society because he was the first African American president. He used Abe Lincoln's bible to use to take the oath because he was the president that freed slaves. TIckets were 1750-20,000 to the event. After he took the oath he was officially our first African American President and our 44th president.
