    Roman Catholic

    Roman Catholic Churches are in communion with Rome and the majority follow the Latin/Roman rite. A minority follow the Eastern rites in communion with Rome. Roman Catholics respect the authority of the Pope. Our school and Parish community follow the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.

    Eastern Orthodox

    Eastern Orthodox Churches trace their heritage back to the Apostolic Church and the Schism. They continue to practice ancient liturgical and spiritual traditions, such as icons as an aid to worship. The Greek Orthodox Church comes under the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

    Anglicanism

    The Anglican churches comprise those that follow the established customs and practices of the Church of England. The history of Anglicanism as a separate denomination really began with the decision of Henry VIII (1491-1547) to overthrow the authority of the Roman Catholic church in England.
  • Baptist

    The Baptist Church emerged from an English Congregational background in 1609. The Church was firmly established in Australia in 1834. The members of the Church appoint a Pastor, ordained by the Baptist Union, as their spiritual leader.
  • Lutheran

    The Lutheran Church was established during the Reformation in Germany under the influence of Martin Luther (1483–1546). The first Lutheran Congregation in Sydney was formed in 1866.
  • Salvation Army

    In 1865, an independent Methodist minister William Booth (1829-1912), founded the Salvation Army, which to this day carries out evangelistic and social work across the globe.
