    Charles Darwin was born on the 12th of February 1809 to the parent Susana Wedgwood and Robert Darwin .
  • Early life

    Early life
    When Charles was 9, he joined Shrewsbury school for boys. He had a great passion for science this was shown by making a lab in his shed at the young age of thirteen but he unfortunetly didnt enjoy much else.
  • Late teenage years

    Late teenage years
    When he was 16, he was sent to become a docter but even the sight of blood made him sick and woozy. He soon studied nature and plants. Although he passed the test to become a vicar this wasnt his true passion.

    The beagle

    A man called John S Henslow, recommended him to board the HMS beagle and soon a letter came through asking him to board it and Charles accepted little did he know it would change his life forever. The trip was suspected to last 2 years but lasted a dragging 5, and he was often Sea sick. Charles visited lots of countries along the way such as: Tenerife, Montevideo, the Falkland islands and of cause the Galapagus.
  • The famous Galapagos!

    The famous Galapagos!
    After 5 years, the crew reached the Galapagos and discovered lots of mysterious, unique creatures. Such as: Red-footed booby, blue-footed booby, Galapagos Sea Lion, Sally lightfoot crab.
  • The origin of species

    20 years after visiting the Galapagos islands Charles made a book on his theory of evolution called the origin of species
  • Charles' death

    Charles' death
    Charles died in 1882, and is still remembered today, he was buried in Westminister abbey a great honour.
