    On the 12th of February 1809 in Shrewsbury,England a young boy was born to parents,Susannah and Robert Darwin.

    In 1818,Charles went to Shrewsbury school for boys and his friends and teachers slowly realised that he had a big passion for science. Unfortunately,when Charles was only eight years old, his um died of natural causes. A few years later, Charles built a science lab in his old garden shed.

    A few long years later,Charles transferred to Cambridge university to study to be a doctor;his father and grandfather,(Robert and Eramus),was a doctor but Charles didn't want to be a doctor because he didn't like the sight of blood.After studying in Cambridge university,he transitioned to Edinburgh university to be a vicar until he got a letter...

    In 1831,Darwin got a letter from John S Henslow to request him to be a naturlist on the HMS Beagle for 5 years,(which was supposed to last for 2 years),and he said yes; he persuaded his father to let him go on the trip until he accepted his trip around the world.At the young age of 22,Charles set off for his trip; he discovered the islands:Montevideo and the Faulkland islands; however,he couldn't go on those trips because he kept having stomach cramps and lots of fevers.

    After a few weeks of discovering the Galapagos island,Charles travelled back to his family,(which took a few months to get back).Once he got back from his life changing trip,he studied about the finches until he found about the theory of evolution

    After discovering the 2 unknown islands, Charles found his main discovery... THE GALAPAGOS ISLAND!He discovered lots of animals and species such as:the Galapagos tortoise, Galapagos sea lion, a Sallylightfoot crab and many more. The most important animal he found was the finches!
