    The Start of The Great Depression
    The Great Depression is known to be the world's worst economic downfall. It began when share holders were selling mores stocks than usual, and caused the stock market crashed in late October of 1929. This caused many people to lose their jobs and homes. This lasted for about 10 years. This traumatic event affected many different countries, and helped transformed their social and political habits. The Great Depression also caused multiple organizations and deals, like the "New Deal".

    Adolf Hitler is Named Chancellor of Germany
    On January 30th, 1933 Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany. The Chancellor of Germany is equivalent to being the President of the United States of America, meaning he is the leader of his country. Hitler had many plans to make sure that Germany would become a powerful, unified one-party state. This date might not seem significant, but this one event cause a ripple effect, leading to many other important events, including the start of World War II.

    The New Deal program was a plan that Franklin D. Roosevelt made to improve our economy due to going through the Great Depression. The plan would seek to deliver the so-called "3 Rs"- relief, recovery, and reform. The New Deal was helpful in short and long term effects. The significance of this event is obvious, over multiple years our economy began to rebuild and many people began to get jobs and their lives back together. Unfortunately the New Deal did not end the Great Depression completely.

    Hitler has made the decision to rebuild and restock the Germany military. By doing this he was going against the agreement that Germany had made when they signed the Treaty of Versailles. By rearming Germany, Hitler was showing that he wanted Germany to gain back their control, even if it meant breaking promises that were previously made. The significance of this event is clear, it is foreshadowing the out come of the future-WWII was coming.
  • Spanish Civil War

    Spanish Civil War
    The Spanish Civil War, was a fight between the Nationalist (rebels) and the Republicans (loyalist). The Nationalist got support from Italy and Germany, and the Republicans got help from the Soviet Union. The Nationalist, lead by Francisco Franco, had won the war. Due to the involvement of multiple countries, the Spanish Civil war is a highly significant event in the world. This war had made Germany and Spain allies, because Germany supported the Nationalist. This was important for WW2.
  • Munich Conference

    Munich Conference
    The Munich Conferences main point was to prevent a war. Germany wanted Czechoslovakia to give up their land, because the population mainly contained Germans. Czechoslovakia was not going to give up their land easily, but in the end decided to give up some land. The significance of this event was the British and French were relieved that a war was avoided, but not everything was great. Germany was gaining more power faster, and this would be a problem in the near future.
