Manchuria
In 1931 Japan invaded Manchuria without declaring war. Japan broke the rules of the League of Nations, the Japanesse went to Manchuria to take some natural resources from them. Manchuria was not highly developed like Japan, and they couldn't do anything. Ethiopia
In 1935 Benito Mussolini, leader of Italy invaded Ethiopia. Mussolini adopted some of the plans of Hitler. Mussolini followed the steps of Hitler by invading Ethiopia. Benito wanted to increase the power of Italy. Mussolini wanted not only to expand Italy, but wanted to recover from the Great Depression by giving Italians jobs in Ethiopia.

Germany's Rearmament
On March 16, 1935 Hitler reported that he would rearm Germany. Adolf Hitler started to create a bigger army, constructing an air force, and etc. Hitler was violating the Treaty of Versailles, by rearming Germany. Hitler was re-building Germany, and many countries were disagreeing what Hitler was doing.

The Spanish Civil War
July 1936 the Spanish Civil war began as a rebellion by the right-wing Spanish military officers. The military wanted to overthrow the leftist Republic government of Spain. In three days the military was able to capture Morocco, most of the northern Spain, and several cities in the South. In 1938, the capital of Barcelona was captured by the rebels. The Republican lost and declared peace, but General Franco refused.

Anschluss
Hitler met up with the chancellor of Austria Kurt Schuschnigg. Hitler tried to convinced him saying that the country needed a greater Nazi presence in the country. So, the chancellor and Hitler came to an agreement to have Germany's influence. The president of Austria refused to have a pro-Nazi minister. A foreign minister faked a crisis, so Germany can come to the rescue. On March 12, 1938 Hitler and his troops took over Anschluss government.

Czechoslovakia
September 30,1938 Hitler, Mussolini, and the prime minister of Britain signed the Munich Pact. The Munich Pact was to give Czechoslovakia to Germany in peace. On October, 1938 Hitler forced the central Czechoslovakian government to give the independence of Slovakia. March 15, 1939 Hitler threaten a bombing against the capital of Czech.

Invasion of Poland
Germany's troops invaded Poland, and bombed Polish airfields. Hitler "declared" this bombing as a defensive action, France and Britain were convinced what Hitler was saying. September 3 ,France, and Britain declared war on Germany which this resulted as World War two.
