The French & Indian War Begins
The 9 year conflict between the French and Great Britain. Both had different ideas on what to make of the land and how to deal with the Natives who live there. These complications led to a war within the Seven Year War. -
Stamp Act
A parliment passed to enforce a tax on anything that required a stamp. Such as, documents, letters, newspapers, all printed items.All of the money collected by taxes was sent to the Soldiers up in the Appalachian Mountains. -
Townshed Act
The laws placed import taxes on glass, lead, apints, paper , and tea. Colonists resisted these series of laws and boycotted the act by not importing goods from Great Britian -
Boston Massacre
The tenssion in Massacusetts caused a mob infront of the Boston Customs House. British soldiers opened fire and killed 5 colonists,Crispus Attucks included. -
The Tea Act
This act was designed to not raise taxes but to help the Indians get out of the debt that they were in due to the loss of so much unsold tea. -
Boston Tea Party
Boston rebles dress up like Native Americans to return the favor of the Boston massacre they dumped 18000 pounds of tea into the Boston harbor. -

1st Continental Congress
Met in Carpenters Hall in Phipidelphia all congress went accept Georgia. -
Lexington and Concord
The 1st battle on their way to getting their independance. It was redcoats agains minutemen. Lexington was first where redcoats fired and killed 8 out of 70 minutemen. They moved on to Concord where minutemen outnumberd the redcoats. The remaing redcoats headed back to Boston. -
2nd Continental Congress
Delegates from all 13 colonies went to adopt the United States Decleration of Independence. -
The publishing of Common Sense
Common Sense was a document writien by Thomas Paine. This pamphlet was publsihed because of the stirve for independence from Great Britian. Common Sense was very inspiring to the colonists back then.
