Uncle Peter's Job?\\Ch.2
Uncle Peter was a professor. He was a very smart man, but that didn't matter to the Nazis. He was a Jewish man and that ruled over all for the Germans. Daniel didn't understand why they were being treated so differently. -
Daniel's Hitler Youth Uniform\\Ch. 3
In chapter three Daniel receives a Hitler Youth Uniform. Daniel, as the Jew he is, wheres the uniform around town and sees how differently he is treated. He doesn't understand why he is treated differently when he has a uniform on compared to a Jewish star. -
Daniel's Uncle Peter\\Ch. 4
in chapter four we find out that Daniel's Uncle Peter was taken away to a work camp. Later in the chapter, Daniel's family is sent a box from the Nazis.in the box is only ashes, daniel did not understand what ashes were. Later, Daniel then is told that is was the ashes of his Uncle. After this Daniel was terrified in what his future held for him. -
The Group//Ch. 7
By this time in the book Daniel and his family have been transferred to the ghetto. In there specific ghetto they have meeting to stop the area from going into chaos. At that point in time lots of the ghettos were full of riots and horrible things. if all the ghettos had meeting like this it would have solved some of the problems in World War II. Yet, it could not fix all of them. -
Radios Banned\\Ch. 8
In the ghettos all radios were banned. These electionics were banned so that people in the ghetto couldn't know what was going on. The Nazis wanted the Jews to be uninformed because then they could not prepare in anyway on what could happen next. -
Daniel and Erika//Ch. 10
In chapter ten Daniel is at a work camp and sees his sister, Erika, for the first time in years. If Daniel tried to talk to his sister he would most likely be caught and killed. In this chapter he rips a piece of his clothing and writes ink on it and drops it by his sister as a message. -
The Photographer\\Ch. 11
At the camp that Daniel goes to there is a man named Adam. Adam is art of the resistance. The resistance is a group of people in the camps trying to get the information out. they have Daniel take photos of the burning bodies. This disturbs Daniel very much. He cannot stand what the Germans are doing. -
Daniel Has Typhus//Ch. 12
Daniel is horribly sick with typhus. Typhus is a disease caused by having lice. Daniel could not go to a hospital because there as only German doctors who would just let him die. He had to heal on his own time. -
Dream Job At Contrecation Camp?\\Ch. 13
At the camp of Buschenweld Daniel was given a job as a photographer. He had to take a photos of the Nazis and there families. he enjoyed taking photos but not of those sick horrible people. -
Questioning the Resistance\\Ch. 14
In chapter 14 Daniel was the age of 1. He started to question the resistance. In chapter 14 it says, "'You didn't even try,' i scoffed 'you don't care about us any more than the SS does.'" He didn't have the hope he needed.
