In May 1939 the s.s st louis set sail from Germany whit 907 Jews escaping from Natzis control. Canadian immigration would not allow the ship to land and they had to go back to europe where many later died in death camps. This shows that canada's government was only thinking about canada and they did not care about what will happen to them if they go back to eurpe and this event shows that canada was not welcoming to refugees at ww2. -
