    The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War brought Great Britain immense riches to British merchants. The British also controlled the slave trade in Spanish America. The colonists got rid of the Sugar Act and because of that Parliament and the colonies got into an argument which resulted in the American Republic.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was the first central tax to charge directly to American colonists by the British government.This act imposed a tax on all paper documents in the colonies. Parliament cancelled the Stamp Act to state clearly that its authority to pass any colonial legislation was fit to do so. The Stamp Act made it clear with the colonies to the point where the colonists rose in armed rebellion against the British.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A group of British soldiers fired their guns at a crowd of people (Americans) because the people of the town were protesting and it was getting out of hand. This proves that the Patriots were willing to die for the American Republic. The reasoning for all these brawls is simply the fact that the Patriots and the British could not work together or agree on anything and this lead to one of the most important battles of the American Republic.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party formed as a protest not only for taxation but also because they wanted to be treated fairly and thought it wasn't fair that they were still being taxed. By dumping the tea into the water they wanted to make a point that they are willing to give up tea to show that they wanted to be treated the same as the British.

    The Constitution becomes Supreme Law of the Land
    The Constitution became Supreme Law of the land because of debates and discussions at the Constitutional Convention. The Constitution said it would become law of the land when nine out of thirteen states approved it. This also means that all laws have to obey to the Constitution.
