Bombing of Pearl Harbor
Japan plans to attack the United States' naval base along with aircraft hangers for many weeks in advance. They sneak into Hawaii with over 100 planes. They proceeded to bomb the naval base killing thousands of soldiers and nurses at the base. America's fleet was destroyed and nothing was left except our aircraft carriers that weren't stationed there.
