    In this battle, Germany invaded Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium. This ended when the Belgium army surrendered to the axis power, Germany. This was the first tank battle of the war. And the invasion of Belgium caused Great Britain to enter the war as they were part of an alliance.

    The Germans use their Air Force in attempt to take over Britain’s Royal Air Force. The Germans failed at taking over and the battle lasted for 114 days. Great Britain won this solely air battle.

    The Japanese fleet of 360 warplanes attack America's main naval base located in the Hawaiian islands. Most of their battleships were destroyed along with 200 air crafts. 2,400 Americans were killed and 1,200 were wounded. This was important as this caused the United Stated to declare war on Germany. And America went through an industrial boom as unemployment rates diminished substantially.

    This was a surprise attack on Tokyo, Japan by U.S. Bombers. There was little damage to the city, but it was a boost to American morale at a low point in the war. And this late motivates Eisenhower to be aggressive towards Japan and use smart war tactics.

    This marked the first air-sea battle in history. The Japanese were seeking to control the Coral Sea with an invasion of Port Moresby in southeast New Guinea. However, America and allied forces intercepted their plans and achieved a victory. This changed the way wars for fought forever, and drove the U.S. closer to controlling Japan in the war.

    This was a battle fought in the pacific that was fought between Japan and American forces. Although the Japanese had a bigger naval fleet than America, the Allies broke through their defenses by using code breakers that confused the Japanese and led to their defeat in this battle. This proved that America was a formidable opponent for the Japanese even after Pearl Harbor.

    The Anglo Americans and the (United Kingdom) attempt to invade French North Africa to drive out German forces. This battle resulted in a victory for the allies. This was important as it put less pressure on allies fighting Germany in Egypt. It also allowed the allies to invade southern Europe later.

    This battle was fought to gain control of Africa. The Axis powers, Italy and Germany face off against the British Imperial force. The result was a victory for the Allies as the German's supply ran out. And 230,000 German and Italian soldiers were captured as prisoners of war.

    The U.S capture the Marshal islands after the Japanese have controlled them since World War 1. One of the fleets was led by Admiral Raymond Spruance, he helped destroy the Japanese communication systems and achieve victory. There were only 400 American Deaths almost flawless considering the 53,000 men that were in the attack.

    The U.S Navy did a air and ground attack that disrupted the Japanese at Truk lagoon. And in only 2 days, American planes sink 50 Japanese ships, 250 planes and 4,500 personnel. A swift American victory, this was a huge blow to the Japanese. And this causes the Japanese to move to the Palau islands and give the U.S more territory over the Pacific
  • Normandy (D-Day)

    Known as the bloodiest battle in the History of the world. 5000 ships and 11,000 air crafts were used in this battle. The 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces landed on five beaches. This resulted in the allies gaining control of western Europe from Germany. A year later the Allies will defeat Germany and win the war.

    Battle of Okiwana
    This was the last major battle of World War 2. 180,000 U.S. soldiers advance on the island of Okinawa to push on Japan. Attacking the air bases, the U.S. advanced heavily on Japan. Many of the Japanese soldiers committed suicide including General Ushijima, which officially ended the battle. This war set up the dropping of Atomic bombs that will officially end the war with Japan.

    This was Germany's last stand in World War 2 before they finally surrendered. The Soviet Union and Poland slowly took control of Germany by surrounding them. Adolf Hitler committed suicide shortly after along with his closest generals. This was the last battle Germany fought in during the war. And it left Japan and Italy remaining for the Axis powers
