    2) At 3:32 in the afternoon, General William F. Garrison orders his men to engage. This included 19 aircraft, 12 vehicles, and 160 soldiers.

    3) At 3:42, the first soldiers landed on the target building. This is also the first US wounded soldier as PFC Todd Blackhorn misses the rope and falls 70 feet out of the helicopter.

    4) At 4:02 in the afternoon, the prisoners are captured and are starting to load into flatbed trucks

    5) At 4:20 PM, the first helicopter crashed due to a rocket launcher shot by a Somali. two members aboard survived and started to defend the crash site.

    6) At 4:26, the convoy of Humvees start to move to the crash site to see if anyone survived.
  • Search and Rescue

    8) At 4:28, the convoy reaches the crash site and starts to look to see if anyone died in the crash.
  • Second Crash

    7) At 4:40, the second helicopter crashes due to the same reason, a rocket launcher. teams abandoned the 1st crash site and start going to the second crash site.
  • Return to base

    9) At 5:45, both convoys end up returning to base after they found out that everyone died in the second crash. Still 99 men were in the city awaiting their death
  • Survival

    10) After a few hours, the 99 soldiers start to run out of supplies. they are trapped in the dark without the necessary things needed for night combat.

    11) At 1:55 in the morning, the convoy comes back from home base and picks up all the soldiers. However, one squad was left behind

    12) At 5:30, the abandoned squad start to run back to home base on foot. as they are running, the citizens of Mogadishu were cheering for them. this is known as the Mogadishu mile.
