Baby Jax!

    Finding out
On this day, I went into the clinic here in valley and they confirmed that I was pregnant! I was very shocked and scared at first, as I'm sure all new moms would be no matter how old they are.

Seeing baby for the first time
To be 110% sure that I was pregnant, I made an appointment at the First Choice Clinic in Fargo. At this appointment we did an ultrasound and saw that I was 5 weeks pregnant. They gave me an estimated due date of January 12, 2019.
  • It's a boy!

    It's a boy!
This day was very exciting for sure! I wish we would have done a gender reveal but sadly we didn't. On my Instagram page, I put a pull up. The pull was "what do you think it will be?!" and you got to guess boy or girl. After I found out, I posted a picture from that ultrasound and captioned it, " a baby boy full of joy". Everyone was so excited!!
  • Baby shower!

    Baby shower!
Let me just start off by saying how hard it was to find a cute outfit this day. My grandma bought me like 8 dresses to try on, not joking. Jax got a bunch of stuff, more stuff than he needed thats for sure ha. We still haven't bought diapers so that's a plus! We had food, did a guessing game of how big my belly was, and then opened presents! The rest of my family lives in Minnesota and it is a 6 hour drive. So, my Minnesota family threw a baby shower for me there! That was also a lot of fun!
  • When did I get so bigggg?????

When did I get so bigggg?????
I didn't get a baby bump for the longest time. Coming back from Christmas break is when you could really start to tell. People in school didn't actually think I was pregnant until I popped. After I popped I definitely felt huge, but I was surprisingly still wearing jeans. How? There's a trick where you put a ponytail threw the loop and around the button. Works like a charm.
  • Baby Jax meets the world!

    Baby Jax meets the world!
I was in false labor for a week. We went into the ER two times before they actually let me stay. The third time we went in was around 11, they checked to see how dilated I was and then I walked around for an hour. After walking around for an hour I was even more dilated, that indicated that I got to stay. I got the epidural, and would not have been able to do it without it. Jax came into the world at 7:50 pm weighing 7lb 9oz with a length of 20 in
  • Meeting Jax!

    Meeting Jax!
After Jax was born the hospital was very packed. Even when I was in labor there were a lot of people there. Every day we had visitors, and when we got home they just kept on coming. I didn’t mind having them at the hospital because it made the day go by faster, but when we got home I had to tell some of the visitors to leave so we could just be alone for a while. When everyone first saw Jax there first words were “he looks just like Cadyn”. They were not wrong.

  • Jax gets RSV

    Jax gets RSV
RSV stands for Respiratory syncytial virus. It is very common in babies and is very contagious. This can be very serious as babies might have to stay in the hospital to get better. Jax had a hard time breathing and a very bad cough. Thankfully he didn’t have to stay in the hospital. He was put on Abuderal with a nebulizer every 4 hours for 10 minutes. Like I said, he is a very strong boy and recovered rather quickly! He is back to his happy smiley self!
