The viceroy Cisneros was called to an open cabildo and many things made him loos power. A new Junta was made and Cisneros was named leader of the junta, but then he resigned and the Primera Junta was created. -
Junta Grande
New members came to the Primera Junta so the name change to, Junta Grande, which promoted the Junta into new cities. -
Federalism vs Centralism
The Triumvirate undid the juntas in the provinces, which made the government centralism. José Gervasio Artigas at the Banda Oriental. Artigas organized the Liga Federal in response, with the Banda Oriental, the Mesopotamia, Santa Fe and Cordoba united against Buenos Aires under federalist principles. -
Second Triumvirate
Second triumvirate made the entire province choose the flag, the money and make a new constitution for all territory, however they were still no independent from Spain. (Ferdinand VII) took back the throne in Spain -
Banda Oriental were rejected
The deputies from the Banda Oriental were rejected, increasing the conflicts with Artigas. His deputies had instructions to promote a declaration of independence and promote republicanism and federalism as types of government. -
Battle of Cerrito
The truce between Buenos Aires and Montevideo was over. The Argentina army was leaded by Jose Rondeau and he won the Battle of Cerrito. -

The Granaderos was an important part of the revolution because they made the government put a new Triumvirate. This new Triumvirate, was made for more committed to the cause of Independence. -
