    Settlement Construction Begins
    The Israeli government approved the building of Israeli communities built on the land captured during the war of 1967. There were around 3000 settlers but over time grew to over 300,000 settlers. The outcomes were that settlments were constructed and that the settlments provided protection form more populated and important areas.

    Isreal gained land from Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Isreal wanted to make Jerusalem a unfied city.Isreal was allowing people to get territory in exchange for peace and recognition. The Arab's didn't like this and declined the offer. Egypt and Jordan began to have battles with the Israilies which included burning of towns and airplane hijacking. The outcome was that Jordan faught the PLO which came to be known as "Black September." FIghting continued until June of 1971 with the victory of Jordan.

    The Yom Kippur War was a war in 1973 were Egypt and syria attacked Israel on Yom Kippur, the most sacred holiday of the Jewish year. The United States got involved and convinced Israel to withdraw from its territories. The outcome of the war was that Israel gave up land that was captured in 1967.

    An agreement was sighned in 1979 to end the fighting that has been happening between Egypt and Isreal. This was the first ever treaty that was sighned betwwen the two countries. Egyption president Anwar Sadat knew if fighting were to continue, Egypts economy would of crashed. The outcome of the treaty was that Isreal gave back all the land captured in the 1967 war.

    Description:The cause of the Lebanon was due to the disruption of the delicate balance between the Sunni, Arabs, and Shia populations. This was due to the arrival of the PLO or the Palestinian Liberation Organization. Outcome:The outcome of the war lead to another war known as the Second Lebanon war of 2006.

    Description:In 1987, the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank took part in the uprising or intifada, against the Israeli control located within these two locations. Outcome:The Palestinians lost many troops to the Israelis. The counter attack from either the Israelis or the Palestinians continued from each country until the Oslo Accords were signed in 1943 which rendered peace between both the Palestinians and the Israelis.

    Description: The Oslo Accords were a set of agreements that began in 1993 when Israel and the PLO signed the declaration of principles or the DOP. The Oslo Accords also lead to the creation of the Palestinian Authority, whose job was to administer the territory under its control.

    Description:In an attempt to replicate the outcome of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel, the US embarked on a different process to help jordan and Israel achieve peace. Outcome:Since 1994, the economics and the overall health of both countries has grown dramatically.

    Description:President Bill Clinton brought Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to Camp David on July 2000. It was in an attempt to negotiate a final status agreement between Israel and Palestine. Outcome:Arafat of Palestine did not feel the offer from the US was enough and refused it. He made no further comments or proposals with the Palestinians and the US and left. Till now both countries live in a state of war.

    Description:In 2000, Israeli General Ariel Sharon Visited the Jewish Temple Mount , a sacred place to the Jews and to the Muslims. At the time, there was a lot of unrest due to the lack of progress of creating peace. Many Palestinians claimed that Sharon's visit was a pretext for violence. Outcome:Riots and civil unrest sparked and the peacemaking process failed completely. There is no definitive end of the second Intifada.

    Description:In 2002, Israel decided to build a barrier for security that would separate its citizens from its security, that would separate its citizens from its terror groups. The fence built was similar to the one built in 1996 that separated the Gaza Strip from Israel. Outcome:The amount of suicide bombings have dramatically lowered from Gaza to Israel.     Brief Description: Was a plan of peace that was made by the “Quartet.” The Roadmap was divided into three phases, but for some reason did not go on since the first pat. The roadmap was stopped when the terrorist group named the Hamas, because they were elected by the Palestine. Outcome: The basic outcome that came upon it was nothing. Since it was stopped by the Hamas there has been no significant processed.

    Brief Descriptions: This started when the prime minister made an order to make a separation of the Raelians and the Palestinian territories. He wanted the Israelis to move away from Gaza, however they did not want to leave. But in the end they moved away. Outcome: Because of this, the amounts of rockets fired by terrorist to Gaza into Israel have dramatically increased.

    Brief Descriptions: Palestinians elected a lot of the Hamas to run the PLO. Because the Hamas were a terrorist group they called destruction to Israel and for the killing of Jews. Outcome: Western nations imposed sanctions and suspended the authority of the Palestinians. They also made the Hamas recognize that Israel had power also could not hurt others. Also having accept the Palestinian agreements.

    Brief Descriptions: Was a war that was with the Hezbollah (Iran and Syria) against Israel. Hezbollah made the first attack killing troops and kidnapping them. During all this they were also dropping missiles/ bombs into the cities of Israel. Outcome: Many civilians injured and dead with major property damage. Israel also damaged the Hezbollah transportation not allowing them to resupply and redeploy. All of this ended with the UN Fire Resolution

    Brief Description: When the Hamas were in control of the PLO they had a problem with the Fatah. Because of this the Hamas attacked members of the Fatah throughout Gaza. Outcome: The government was split into two, one being the Hamas controlling Gaza and the other was controlled by the Palestine Authority.

    Brief Description: It was an attempt by the Israelis to stop the Hamas rocket attacks on the southern part of Israel. Also to try to disrupt terrorist infrastructure and weapon smuggling. Outcome: Hundreds of militants were killed, building and economy were destroyed due to the launches from the Hamas.

    Description: A blockade was formed when Hamas took power. This was there to make sure no product from the outside such as guns and weapons, enter Gaza. However ships were ask to enter gaza and were not allowed. An argument broke out, for they needed the ships for the goods. The ships were let in by Turkey, but was not checked letting people on board the ship to have a big massacre on the Gaza people.
    Outcome: People have been killed and the alliance that was formally made by Turkey was broken

    Brief Description: Was a protest by the Arab that began as a protest against autocratic and repressive government. This protest separated from Tunisia across the Arab world. Outcome: The Tunisia president ended up leaving the country, the Arab long-term impact, however, it is not yet cleared.
