    Bunker Hill was one of the first major conflicts during the American Revolution.The battle was initially intended to take place on Bunker Hill, but fighting actually occurred on the nearby hill of Breed’s Hill. In a battle between a well-trained British military and a newly thrown together Colonial Army, the British end up the as victors. As one of the first conflicts in the war, it set the stage for what was to come of the Revolutionary war.

    The British army took action against the American Continental Army. It was the first major battle of the war. The battle came from a British campaign to get control of New York. The British general William Howe moved towards New York. George Washington one-third of his troops were already at Long Island, waiting for the British.

It also ended the French and Indian war, also called the 7 years war, where the French and the Indians worked together to fight the british. The war lasted from 1754 to 1763.

    The Constitutional Convention took place from May 14 to September 17, 1787, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The point of the event was decide how America was going to be governed. Although the Convention had been officially called to revise the existing Articles of Confederation, many delegates had much bigger plans.
