Intolerable Acts

Battle of Yorktown
This battle took place in Yorktown, Virginia. This battle was fought by the German, American soldiers led by George Washington and French soldiers led by Charles Cornwallis. -
3/5 Compromise
The compromise was that 3/5 slaves were counted as people in the states. It's effects was to give southern states a third more seats in congress and a third more electoral votes than if the slaves had been ignored. -
Great Compromise
This compromise caused a debate on delegates on how something should be a symbol or represent each state. Great Compromise created a two-chambered congress. -
Bill Of Rights Adopted
Congress transmitted over state legislatures 12 amendments to the constitution. Amendments 3 through 12 were adopted by the by the states to become the United States. This adoption became to be known as the Bill Of Rights.
