    The Boston Massacre was a shooting between the colonist and the British. A mob of colonist were yelling and throwing things at the guard that was protecting a British customs location. So the guard called for back up and they came and one of the colonist tricked one of the British soldiers into firing so then all of the British soldiers fired.

    The Tea act was a act that caused the colonist to only be able to buy tea from the British east India company. So because of that the Sons of liberty group was made. So the colonist were so mad that they dumped hundreds of dollars of British tea into the Boston harbor.

    The First Continental Congress planted the seeds for a future independent government. They voted to ban all trade with Britain until the Intolerable acts were repealed. They did not declare independence but wanted to uphold colonial rights.

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first battles that started the American Revolution. At the battle of Lexington No one knew who shot the first shot.
  • Second Continental Congress

    The Second Continental congress Agreed to make and official army. They also agreed to name George Washington the general. Also authorized printing of money to pay soldiers.

    The Battle of Bunker hill was a battle that gave the colonist hope that they could beat the British. The colonist didn't have enough ammo to fight a long battle. The Colonist Colonel told the men to not fire until they saw the whites of there eyes because they didn't want to waste ammo.

    The colonist sent the Olive Branch Petition to try to avoid war with Britain. The Olive Branch Petition was significant because it showed the British they didn't want to fight them.
