    The Declaration of Independence was adopted July 4th 1776 created by congress, declaring that America isn't no longer dependent on Great Britain.
  • Battle of Fort Washington

    The Battle of Fort Washington was between America and the British the leader General William Howe. America wanted British to surrender but the British was ready for war. Since America was unprepared for war, British unfortunately won and America lost 2,900 soldiers and British lost 450.
  • Attack at Princeton New Jersey

    Fortunately America won this battle led by George Washington. George Washington was forced to move to the Delaware river, Washington overheard that General Cornwallis was going to attack him and his army. Washington had 1,500 men and Cornwallis had well over 8,000, so Washington divided his army into two groups. After Cornwallis men arrived January 2nd , he realized he will face defeat, however before Washington was losing but than General Sullivan provided help and Washington won.

    Battle of Brandywine Pennsylvania
    The attack on Brandywine Pennsylvania was not a success, this battle was between General George Washington and General William Howe. Washington knew Howe was coming to attack, so he prepared, so he let his men guard around the Brandywine river, unfortunately Howe men attacked Washington's men from the rear. After the war, America was forced to surrender to General William Howe.
  • Treaty Of Alliance

    Treaty Of Alliance
    The United States and France became military alliance against the British because both countries signed the Treaty Of Alliance. Both countries wanted peace from British however the British did not approve of the Treaty and decided to declare war on France.
  • British Abandons Philadelphia

    The year before the British took over Philadelphia until June 18th 1778 when they left Philadelphia behind. 15,000 British troops just walked out the former capital. However these men, Prussian Baron von Steuben , Marquis de Lafayette, Johann, Baron de Kalb, Poles Thaddeus Kosciuszko, Casimir, and Count Pulaski helped Washington to remove the British. But either side wanted a major conflict so the men forced Clinton and his men to New York.
  • Wyoming Valley Massacre

    In Wyoming valley Pennsylvania, that lasted within an hour between the patriots and the British. 500 of Colonel John Butler men charged right into Wyoming valley demanding the patriots to surrender " forts" and the British would let them live as long as they want. Sadly well over 300 patriots died and British kept the valley.
  • Battle of Stony Point

    Battle of Stony Point
    Stony Point being ruled by General George Washington and General Anthony Wayne. Since the war was taken place at night the men had to place white paper on their hats to tell who are British men. The British had a rough time attacking due to the weather, placement of their ship and it was near midnight, letting Washington and Anthony Wayne men take fire only taking an hour and the war ended at 1:00am. After the war Washington abandoned Stony Point taking their weapons with them.
  • Siege of Savannah

    Siege of Savannah
    During the year 1779, Georgia was the only colony that British didn't fully conquered yet but still own. However Charles-Hector and General Benjamin soldiers wanted Augustine Prevost and his men to give up the city. Unfortunately Prevost denied their request, than the two men thought of invading the city to make Prevost give it up, but it didn't work. Unfortunately the British kept Georgia for an extra three years.

    Spain declares war on Britain, with America as it alliance during the war. Spain only declared war only for political reasons due to the fact that they were very powerful. However their power was tested when British attacked and both countries was attacking each from all directions, forcing Spain to take west Florida and British east Florida.
  • Siege of Charleston

    In Charleston South Carolina 1780, General Henry Clinton planned to take over Charleston South Carolina. The British was crossing the Ashley river, when America found out they immediately took position. Unfortunately the southern colonies didn't win the war, leaving the British taking over majority of the southern colonies

    Benedict Arnold Commits Treason .
    Arnold was responsible for West Point located in New York City, he told Henry Clinton his giving him the property. Later on into the year, he joined the enemy since Major John Andre died. Soon he moved to London and passed away.
  • Battle at Guildford North Carolina

    This battle was between Cornwallis and Greene, Cornwallis had over 1,500 men and Greene had over 4,000 men. Cornwallis was clearly out numbered by Greene also killing more than 25% of men, leaving him to abandoned his men. Greene made Cornwallis surrender to General George Washington.
  • Articles Of Confederation was adopted

    Articles Of Confederation was adopted
    The Articles of Confederation was finally signed after 16 months of debating. On March 2nd the 13th state which was Maryland agreed to ratify ( approve ) the Confederation, between five years of ratifying the Articles of Confederation, the people loved the new system especially because they have a voice in their new government.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    The final battle during the American revolution, Cornwallis tried to cross the York river but he could not due to the weather, so he fought with Washington's army . When the French came loosing the knot between General Clinton, America struck again, making British lose their resources.
  • Signing of Treaty at Paris, France

    Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and John Jay officially declared peace with the British. November 30th that when both America and the British signed the Treaty.

    The signing of the Treaty of Paris was written by Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and John Jay. The signing officially meant that war between Great Britain and America was over.
