    allows officers to search anywhere for smuggled goods. they were smuggling goods so that they weren't taxed.

    this was here to keep the colonist and the natives to stop fighting. the natives were mad that they can't go past the Appalachian mountains.
  • treaty of Paris 1763

    the document that ended the war between french over the Ohio river valley. this treaty ended french power in north america and expanded British territory and increase British debt
  • sugar act of 1764

    this required the colonist to pay a tax of 6 pence for sugar. some colonist didn't want to pay the tax for sugar so they made them lower it to 3 pence so the colonist would actually pay.
  • stamp act of 1765

    this was the tax on stamps in paper. the result was that the colonist stopped paying for stamps and smuggled them.
  • quartering act

    this allowed the soldiers to live in the colonist's house and they would have to feed them and stuff like that.
  • stamp act congress

    this was the first meeting that the colonist held between October 7 and 25
  • declaratory act

    they had repealed the stamp act then replaced it with this one.the government had supreme authority to govern the colonies
