  • Jun 5, 1215

    Magna Carta

    Magna Carta
The Great Charter! This was an aggreement towards King John who was just being the biggest buttcheek to his fellow citizens. Obviously he had less cares for them because they proclaimed this document so that there was a protection of rights and to make peace with the homies.
  • Petition of Right

    Petition of Right
This shows what the king can and can not do. It contains restrictions on taxations, martial law use, and impisonment for no reason. Sounds similar to the Magna Carta with king John.
  • English Bill of Rights

    English Bill of Rights
This document limited the power of the English leaders. Can be similar to the Petition of Right and the Magna Carta. This was made as a parliament act.
  • Albany Plan of Union

    Albany Plan of Union
Benjamin Franklin suggested on how to make the 13 colonies government more unified. This was one of many attempts of creating a bond between the colonies and to have one central government (much like a Parliament/Union).
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
I guess you could say it was a blast.
On a calm day turned south, stubborn Americans began mouthing off to the British Soliders, throwing snowballs and other objects. They fired toward the crowd of harrasers and lots of people dropped it like it was hot to their death.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
This wasn't a music and strobe light party, this was the party that made the statement to the British. One way to make them mad is to throw their tea into the harbor. This escalated into the American revoluntion. The Teac Act was to reduce the surplus of tea to the colonies.
  • First Continental Congress

    First Continental Congress
A whole lotta people gathered from the 13 colonies to establish a united voice to the mothership of Great Britain. People get tired of not having a say so they decided to take a stand! Go team!
  • Second Continential Congress

    Second Continential Congress
I guess you could say that they weren't the #basic white originals. ba dum tss. They developed after the American Revolution started and was a collection of legislatives from the colonies.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
13 colonies. Britain. Fight to the death. Just kidding, but serioulsy, the colonies didn't like being bullied and bossed around by the British, so they wanted their own high and mighty leadership per say, The document was signed to "declare" their own "independece"(Hince the name Sherlock.) from the British and then a Nation was born... MURICA.
  • Articles of Confederation

    Articles of Confederation
Continential Congress took the articles of confederation and made it the 13 colonies first constitution. It was not confirmed by all 13 colonies until later the next year.
  • Philadelphia Convention

    Philadelphia Convention
This is a convention with comic con but the kind that said that the articles of confederation sucked. Alot of revision took plan during this convention to address the issue that there were no courts, no power to levy taxes, no power to regulate commerce, and no power to enforce its resolutions upon individuals or the 13 colonies.
  • Virginia Plan

    Virginia Plan
Revising the Articles of Confederation Virginia proposed a new type of debate. A government having three branches (legislative, executive and judicial).
  • New Jersey Plan

    New Jersey Plan
This isn't the plan of how Snooki took over New Jerseys' shore, this was about america. This was a plan of how to structure the government.
  • Shays' Rebellion

    Shays' Rebellion
Rebellions always come out againt the government no matter what, i mean look what Katniss did. Speaking of rebellions, in Massachusettes, this was an armed uprising because of suspicious economic terrorisim formed by the government.
