    The Romantic Era

    The Romantic Era was the capturing of the smallness of man compared to nature. In America the common view was that nature was to be worshipped and was the architecture of God compared to the Cathedrals in Europe. It transitioned from Neoclassical views of damnation and rational thought and laws to wondering of imagination and the mysteries surrounding humans in the earth.

    First U.S. Railroad to carry passengers and supplies by the Baltimore&Ohio Railroad. I was only 13 miles long.
  • The Hudson River School Beginning

    First art school born out of the romantic era in mid-eightteenth century and was started by Thomas Doughty, Asher Durand, and Thomas Cole.
