Alois Hitler was a customs officer and died when Hitler was only 13. His mother, Klara, was a domestic worker. Her and Adolf had a special bond and he loved her very much. This event is significant because Hitler goes on to become a terrible Nazi leader and murders millions of Jews.

    The first modern olympics was held on April 6, 1896. They occurred in Athens, Greece and were the same as the olympics that’s originated in 766 B.C. Fourteen countries participated with multiple athletes for each. Forty three events took place between 241 male athletes. The U.S took home the most first place finishes followed by Greece, and then Germany. This event is significant because it was the start to the olympics which are a major worldwide event that bring all countries together.

    The Great Galveston Hurricane is one of the deadliest natural disasters in the history of the U.S. Most reports found that 6,000 people died due to the hurricane but it is possible up to 12,000 were killed. On September 8, the hurricane struck in Galveston, Texas. Winds reached up to 135 MPH during the storms life. This event is important because it had a devestating effect on the U.S. and it also helped to make technology on tracking hurricanes from the widespread knowledge of the catastrophe.

    The Great San Fransisco Earthquake from 1906 is deemed as one of the worst earthquakes ever and is one of the most well known. The natural disaster affected over 296 miles of land. This was from the San Andreas fault to Cape Mendocino. The major significance of the quake wasn’t discovered until technology became more advanced. It lasted 60 seconds and people in Oregon and California felt it. This event it significant because it had an awful aftermath and was a terrible event in U.S. history.

    Hitler and a number of his comrades were blinded temporarily by a British mustard gas. The attack was in Belgium and made it necessary for Hitler to become hospitalized. The hospital was located in Pasewalk. During his time, Germany was defeated by a pastor and Hitler became outraged. This made Hitler start thinking about want to make Germany better and liberate it. This event is important because it gave Hitler time to think and plan to become the leader of Germany and how he could better it.

They contended with governments and ceased many operations during World War 2. There was 58 people in the league and many countries that worked together. This event was important because they helped manage world war 2 and keep the countries from getting too out of hand.

Hitler decided to provide an organization for them too.the Hitler youth accepted people age 15-18 that had their own departments of culture, schools, press, and propaganda. People age 10-15 were enrolled in the Deulsches Jungvolk (young folk). The goal was to educate the youth physically, intellectually, and morally. This event is important because Hitler’s genius program made many of the children into future members of the Nazi Party.

This event is important because the group he reforms ends up being the most feared in the world after Hitler comes to power because of it. The Nazis are now iconic for being a terrible group.

The book talked about his plans for the future of Germany. He wrote the book during his time in prison in Landsberg am Lech with the help of Rudolf Hess. This event is important because it used today to see what the life of Hitler was like and is personal views.

    After one year and 45 days of construction, the Empire State Building was finished. It was building during the time of the Great Depression. The height of the skyscraper is 1,454 feet and it is 102 stories. The massive building cost a whopping 676.3 million to build. The building is located in New York and was one of many large buildings to be built there. The building is important because it inspired many future buildings and was a sense of pride for the U.S during the Great Depression.

He beat Kurt von Schleicer who was originally appointed by Hindenburg. This event is important because it was a turning point for Germany as Hitler could now follow through with his plans to make Germsny more powerful and to ignore politics.

    Hitler lead a mass murder of over 6 million Jewish people. His motive was that Jews were affecting German life negatively and were an evil group. Although he mostly murdered Jews, he also killed other people he believed to be undesirable such as homosexuals, disabled people, mentally ill, and some Catholics. The holocaust was important because the genocide made most countries go against the Germans in World War 2 and cause them to lose. The end of the holocaust led Hitler to committing suicide.

The strong army won the land in the name of peace and won much of the countries natural resources. Hitler slowly forced themselves to be weaker until they were at his mercy. This event is important because it gave Germany land and resources that were beneficial for war and to make a better economy and it boosted Hitlers confidence.

The Soviets then invaded Poland as well. The overwhelming attack forced them to surrender to the Germans after ten days. The soviets and Germany divided Poland amongst themselves. The event is important because many other countries were angry and fought together to take down Hitler and Stalin and began World War Two.

He killed himself with a gun while his most likely future wife poisioned herself using cyanide. There is a lot of controversy regarding his death and many believe he didn’t actually die but ran away and lived a longer life. This event is important because it ended the terrible reign of Hitler and helped to being ending world war 2 as well as give a Germany a new start.
