After the French left Vietnam the Americans picked up the fight but for different reason. The Americans wanted to stop communism from spreading in the country. Due to unpopularity within itself, the United States withdrew letting the Communists take over. -

Beginning when the United States found USSR missiles planted in Cuba, a huge stand of between the two began in which Nuclear war was imminent. The crisis ended when both groups agreed to take there missiles away and stay at peace. -

At the beginning of this conflict Egypt attacked Israel. After six days Israel was able to take over many areas including the entire Sinai Peninsula. -
Assassination Of Egyptian President Sadat
When president Sadat was at an annual victory parade held in Cairo, four gunmen attacked and killed 11 people including Sadat. These gunmen were Islamic Egyptians who felt betrayed by Sadat when he signed a peace treaty with Israel. -
